Does Christian faith have a role to play in the 21st century?
Can the church reclaim it's voice for justice in the public square?
Is there any hope for the future of Christianity?

Our world seems hopelessly divided. And those who claim to be people of faith are often some of the leading voices drawing us into deeper divisions. The Christian faith has become synonymous with bigotry, fear, and immorality. Droves of people are leaving church communities and looking for new ways to engage in social and spiritual renewal. On the surface, the future of faith seems pretty hopeless. But what if there is a better way to be faithful in the 21st century?

Beginning in January 2020, acclaimed pastor, author, and political organizer Brandan Robertson will embark on an international lecture tour seeking to provoke and inspire people of faith around the world to reclaim their faith and rediscover the gifts that faith can offer to bring substantial transformation to our lives and to our world.

Lecture Topics

Drawing on a decade of ministry, community organizing experience, and theological training, Robertson has cultivated a series of compelling lectures to inspire audiences to dare to believe that faith can actually be a force for good in the world once again:
  • The Problem of Patriarchy: The Bible's Solution to Humanities Greatest Evil
In this lecture, Robertson draws on years of research to present a compelling theological and biblical case for the deconstruction of patriarchy and the full inclusion of sexual and gender minorities into the life of the church and society.
  • Reclaiming Christianity: The Case for a Progressive, Inclusive Christian Faith
In this lecture, Robertson articulates what a progressive, inclusive Christianity might look like by walking the audience through seven core principles of progressive Christianity and inviting them to begin dreaming about what these principles would look like if lived out in their own communities.
  • True Inclusion: Creating Communities of Intersectional Inclusion
In this lecture, Robertson walks the audience through the principles of his groundbreaking book "True Inclusion: Creating Communities of Radical Embrace" which calls progressive people of faith to move beyond LGBT+ inclusion to a truly intersectional understanding of inclusion.
  • From Organized Religion to Religion for Organizing: Utilizing Faith to Cultivate Social Renewal
In this lecture, Robertson draws on a decade of community and political organizing among communities of faith to teach practical lessons and principles to help faith communities and individuals utilize their faith to take action for the common good on a local, state, national, and international level.
  • Patchwork LIVE
Robertson also offers to record an episode of his popular podcast Patchwork in front of a live audience. This podcast seeks to cultivate compelling conversations across our deepest divides around religion, politics, and culture.
